Bale Mountains National Park has an area of 2,000km2 and set with the high altitude plateau that is broken by numerous spectacular volcanic plugs and peaks, beautiful alpine lakes and rushing mountain streams that descend into deep rocky gorges on their way to the lowlands below. As you ascend into the mountains you will experience changes in the vegetation with altitude, from juniper forests to heather moorlands and alpine meadows, which at various times of year exhibit an abundance of colorful wildflowers.
Bale Mountains National Park is the largest area of Afro-Alpine habitat in the whole of the continent. It gives to visitor opportunities for unsurpassed mountain walking, horse trekking, scenic driving and the chances to view many of Ethiopia’s endemic mammals, in particular the Ethiopian Wolf , Mountain Nyala, Menelik’s Bush Buck and many other species of animals and Endemic birds, such as Roget Rail AND the Harenna forest is unique vegetation in the National Park.

You will be welcome by Amazon tour operation staffs upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

(231 Km) from Addis Ababa --> Hosanna:On the route Visit at Melka Kunture archeological site & Adadi Mariam cave church that date back to the 13th century and give a good indication of Lalibella rock- hewn churches of the 12th century. Picnic lunch on the way ,Continue driving to Tia stele through the beautiful village of Gurage and Silte that includes the colorful Daily market of one of the Gurage area. Overnight at hotel in Hosanna .

(216 Km) from Hosanna --> Arba Minch:On the route admire very interesting views and the Gurage,Silte and wolayta people, their villages, culture, the cultivation of the false banana tree called "Enset"(the roots are used as food,"kotcho"). Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Arba Minch - Visit NECHI SAR NATIONAL PARK and boat trip:

After morning breakfast drive to lake Chamo for early morning boat excursion to see the Crocodile Market and the Hippos. Visit to Nech sar National Park, which is situated in the rift valley, is 2000 m above sea level, flanked by lakes Abaya and Chamo. Although mainly open grass lands, it also contains sparse areas of savannah woodland and highland forest. Drive back for lunch to the hotel.Dinner and overnight in hotel.

(269 Km) from Arba Minch --> Sodo-->Alaba-->Awassa:

drive through Dorze tribe village on the way. Dorze tribe has unique culture and Among their very interesting cultures are their houses built from bamboo way of life and cultivation of the false banana. An afternoon visit at Alaba.Dinner and overnight in Hotel at Awassa.

(230 Km)Awassa-->Wendo Genet:

Morning visit will take place at the fish market of Lake Awassa as well as bird watch. Birds like Cormorants, Pelicans, Marabou storks, Hammer Kops, Fish Eagle, Kingfishers and other more are abundant .We will further drive to Wondogenet for lunch, and afterwards enjoy the hot spring, forest bird watching and hiking the forest. Coloubus monkey are to be seen even within the hotel compound. Overnight Wabi Shebelle Hotel, at Wondogenet.

(215 Km)from Wondo Genet --> Goba:

Visit Sof Omar Cave. Holqa Sof Omar,UNESCO registered, is a well preserved sacred place of worship, which has helped the preservation of the indigenous forest environment of the area and still serving as a natural habitat of the wildlife resources. The countryside around abounds with wildlife dik-dik and kudu, serval cat, rock hyrax, giant tortoises, snakes, and lizards as well as more than hundred species of birds. Overnight in Hotel at Goba.

(200 Km) Goba --> Bale Mountain Park

Visit the highlands in Bale.There are always birds to watch and some of them are endemic. At least sixteen species of birds are known to be endemic to Ethiopia. About fourteen of these species are known to occur in the Bale Mountains National Park area.Overnight in Hotel at Goba.

(443 Km) from Goba --> Shashemene --> Addis Ababa:

en route visit the the promised land of Jamaica,Shashemene,the rift valley Lakes and lunch at Ziway. Drive to Addis. Dinner at one of the Ethiopian Cultural Restaurant and overnight in hotel.
